Project Description

PayPal Park

PayPal Park is the stadium for the San Jose Earthquakes soccer team and the largest SPS stadium installation in the U.S.

Schuff Steel detailed, fabricated, and erected the structural steel stadium and roof. In lieu of the usual precast seating treads, Schuff Steel provided the composite steel SPS (Sandwich Plate System) including paint and sealing of joints.

Extensive connection value engineering was used to modify welded connections to field bolted connections limiting touch-up of exposed steel. Less field touch-up of connections allowed for schedule savings.
