Project Overview
Additional features include a 425-ft. enclosed pedestrian bridge with four moving walkways and a seven-story parking structure with capacity for 1,190 vehicles, along with a basement valet garage.
Working in an active, high-traffic environment required rigorous planning and adherence to strict safety protocols. Schuff Steel coordinated closely with the general contractor and tribal safety teams, integrating safety into every phase of detailing, fabrication, and erection. Two full-time safety managers, along with the tribe’s risk management department, ensured comprehensive onsite oversight.
Schuff Steel’s key contributions included:
- 10,330 tons of steel fabricated and erected across multiple structures
- Use of Slotted Web connections to reduce installation complexity and increase efficiency
- Design optimization that eliminated 4,000 tons of steel
- Schedule and cost savings totaling 10 weeks and 12.5% total cost reduction
