Sacramento Airport - Sacramento, CA
The Sacramento Airport used over 3900 tons of steel and over 150 thousand hours of work.  This 310 thousand sq ft BIM project topped out on November 13th, 2009, 8 weeks ahead of schedule.  This is a LEED project which utilized the Tekla EOR Reviewer process allowing Schuff to have paperless submittals. 



Orlando Events Center - Orlando, FL
Schuff Steel recently topped out their Orlando Events Center project.  The newly christened Amway Center is the new home of the Orlando Magic and is scheduled to open in the fall of 2010.  This 480 million dollar center is owned by the City of Orlando and built with environmentally friendly features.  The roof was made with 380 foot 150 ton trusses totaling over 10,500 tons of steel.



Maricopa County Court Tower –
Phoenix, AZ

The Maricopa County Court Tower is 7200 tons of steel scheduled to open in early 2012. When complete it will be 16 stories tall, and have 32 courtroom facilities, including a shared judges chamber . The project created over 1000 local jobs in Phoenix, AZ. This 340 million dollar project should be complete in the end of 2011.



Silver Cross Hospital- New Lenox, IL
Silver Cross Replacement Hospital is in New Lenox, IL. The six-story, almost 500,000 sq. ft. facility is to be fabricated at the Schuff Plant in Ottawa, KS.

L.A. Live - Los Angeles, CA
L.A. Live consists of 4,600 tons of structural steel (19 sequences) for the 375,000 sq. ft. facility. The longest trusses spanned 135'-0 and our heaviest pick on the project was 118,999 lbs.



The Crystals at CityCenter –
Las Vegas, NV

Winner of Southwest Contractor magazine’s Best Steel and Engineering Project of 2008, The Crystals is the centerpiece of CityCenter’s retail and entertainment district. The 665,000 square-foot facility includes a below-grade garage, two levels of retail and a one-of-a-kind roof comprised of leaning columns and curving trusses that seem to defy gravity. The project consists of 13,900 tons of structural steel with over 16,000 unique fabricated pieces.



Sands Casino Resort - Bethlehem, PA
Sands Casino Resort - Bethlehem was designed to incorporate the elements that already exist within the abandoned walls of an old steel mill. Exposed steel and brick and gabled roof trusses complement and respect the integrity of what has already been there for over a century. The massive ore crane will be a part of the casino design as the visitors will drive under it while approaching the porte-a-cochere.

The project consists of a 300-room hotel, around 200,000 square feet of retail space, a casino with 3,000 slot machines, a multipurpose arena and a variety of dining and entertainment options. Our scope of work was to provide connection design services and procure, detail, fabricate and deliver 10,000 tons of steel for the casino, retail, hotel and multipurpose structures.



Casino Arizona - Scottsdale, AZ
Casino Arizona consists of a casino, conference center, and hotel, totaling nearly 5,542 structural tons in addition to long span joists provided by Quincy Joist Company. The 15 story, all steel hotel itself consists of approximately 2,600 tons of structural steel.
